Features the live premiere of Tubular Bells that took place at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on June, 1973, performed by Mike Oldfield and friend musicians David Bedford, Pierre Moerlen, Mick Taylor, Steve Hillage, Fred Frith, Ted Speight, Kevin Ayers and Vivian Stanshall among others.

Private CD restored and remastered with a stunning quality by Martin Bartošik from the original "Hergest Ridge" vinyl. This CD features the first original mix only avaliable on some vinyls as transferred from analogue to digital by Martin Bartošik. This is different from the remix made for the "Boxed" compilation that became the wide known mix avaliable on all issues for the CD version CDV 2013.

This CD is an Amadian private recording for personal use. Virgin was to release this recording after the "Orchestral Tubular Bells" but due to its little success the studio "Orchestral Hergest Ridge" never saw the light. It is stated that this recording was in fact performed by Scottish National Orchestra on May 5th, 1976 at the Kelvin Hall, Glasgow, also conducted by David Bedford with Steve Hillage on guitar. The extract form the "Orchestral Tubular Bells" is recorded live and presents the original arrangement that was finally rejected by Mike himself for the studio album.

Conceived by Amadian this set compiles several collaborations of Mike Oldfield with other artist such as David Beford, Pekka Pohjola, Tom Newman, Pierre Moerlen's Gong and Phil Beer during the 70's and a bonus track "Tubular X" which is a remix done by Mike Oldfield of his "Tubular Bells" famous intro tune and Mark Snow's composition for "The X-Files" tv series score.

The CD contains the full "Platinum" album but replacing "Woodhenge" with "Guilty" as bonus track which is a special version only avaliable on this US edition whose only difference is that runs faster. All four parts of Platinum suite appears as only one track. The live versions of "Tubular Bells" and "Incantations" are not the same recordings as on "Exposed".
